It’s a long way from Toronto to Teplice. In this issue of Lifestyles Magazine® we have given the publication a strong musical flavor. Our interview with Charles Olivieri-Munroe, the Canadian resident conductor of the Teplice Philharmonic Orchestra in North Bohemia, shares his views on what it’s like to lead from the front in a smaller town not normally associated with the arts.
Our second feature shows the value of imparting the joys of music to children, thereby in enriching their entire education, and the quality of life to come. And finally, we profile a rising star of the Czech operatic scene, Marie Fajtova. She is presently performing in Handel’s Rinaldo at the Estates Theatre. She doesn’t fit the picture of a traditional diva, you can be sure.
As I wrote in our last issue, Lifestyles Magazine® is expanding our coverage of the arts and culture. As the two artists we are covering show, we enjoy both a rich past and dynamic present in the arts. To this point, we are pleased to be working with Narodni Divadlo (pictured above) to explore the best of theatre, opera, and dance.
Our cover story goes beyond the current Incan Gold Exhibition, and examines the consequences of being both “blessed and cursed”with such an abundance of precious minerals. Our country profile is on Mexico, another region of natural resources as well as cultural and ethnic integration. H. E. Jose Luis Bernal offers some interesting perspectives on business co-operation between our countries in several areas, including eco-technologies and environmental regulation.
In our wealth management feature, Lifestyles Magazine® speaks with some familiar analysts about their views on how we will fare this year, and offer some advice on how to preserve and protect your investments.
Later this spring, we invite you to look for Fountain of Youth Prague® and Czech Direct®. You can expect quality reading with a better perspective, and still more ways to help you live better… in style.
