In this holiday issue of Lifestyles Magazine Luxury Real Estate edition, our readers can continue to explore the beauty and contradictions of Czech design and the history of the Czech Lands. Where else can you find architectural treasures ranging from Český Krumlov and traditional medieval architecture, to Stalinist icons and an Ostrava factory, all sharing protected status of various types? Our country is the envy of most with so many UNESCO sites, and we highlight the range of these properties in this issue.
František Kaván’s paintings of the Czech countryside offer a real view and feeling of life in the rest of this country outside the urban centers, and recall a simpler and more peaceful time. From the design field, Eva Munková writes about Mimolimit, perhaps the hottest Czech interior design studio that has now gone international with a massive undertaking in Mongolia. You will be surprised to learn how many familiar restaurants and hotels are the result of their brilliance.
And of course, we feature exceptional properties both here and abroad.
Finally, as we are in the holiday season, you can read about Christmas and New Year’s in the Czech Lands, beginning with Jakub Jan Ryba’s Mass and celebrations throughout the country. On behalf of all the people connected with our publications, we wish you happiness during the holidays and peace for the new year.
