Bus. Unlike many Indian cities, Manali has a well-functioning bus station with computerized ticket offices. Delva buses run to Delhi and Śimli. Semidelwce buses, also convenient, they go to Simli and Dharamsala. Most tourists travel in summer, therefore planning trips during this period, reservations must be made in advance. Delvka buses, fully booked, they leave in front of the tourist office; only semidelwce buses use the main station. Many courses after the season, especially delvka buses, is on hold.

A ticket for the delvka bus to Delhi costs 400 INR (600 INR with air conditioning); to Shimli 200 INR. There is a fee to travel to Dharamshala by bus 130 INR (12 time. 30 min) and the same to Simli (10 time.).

Ordinary buses can be reached, among others. to Shimli (115 INR), Dharamsali (114 INR), Bath (37 INR), Chandigarh (117 INR), Amritsaru (184 INR), Dźammu (175 INR) and Delhi (190 INR).

Several buses to Kulu depart from Manali every day (15 INR); most follow the left-hand side of the Beas River. In summer, hourly courses to Kejlong ​​are launched; the journey lasts 6 hours and costs 30 INR.

Leh Tourists planning a two-day trip to Leh have a variety of buses to choose from. The luxury coaches belonging to HPTDC are definitely the most comfortable. Tickets, in price 700 INR (1000 INR, if you are paying for an overnight stay at a campsite), must be purchased at the tourist office, at least a few days in advance. You can also book a regular bus operated by HPSRTC at the bus stop (460 INR). J buses also leave from the main station to Lehu&KSRTC, tickets are available for purchase from the driver. HPSRTC and J&The KSRTCs do not differ much from each other, Which is why, making a choice, it's best to follow the departure time – the sooner, the more time for sightseeing later. Private buses also run on the route to Lehu; the sale of tickets is carried out by travel agencies in Manali.

The road to Lehu is so bumpy, that it is better to avoid seats in the back of the bus. Daredevils, who disregard this advice, they will certainly contract more than one lump on their head. SURROUNDINGS OF MANALI

Vashit (Vashishta)

The houses of the charming Waśisztu, lying 3 km from Manali, they seem to hang from a steep hillside. Much shorter, because the road going straight up the hill has to be covered by tourists going to Vashishtu on foot.

Hotel Bhrigu is waiting for more affluent tourists. Staying in a double room with a private bathroom and a beautiful view costs money 300 INR (off season almost 100 INR cheaper). The most expensive hotel is the Ambassador Resort, offering double rooms for 2100 INR; after the season it is valid 30% discounts. The hotel also organizes skiing trips (with a helicopter flight).

Gastronomy It is worth visiting the Cafe Vashlsht bathhouse in the complex. In addition to drinks and snacks, lunch dishes are also served here. The main square is the Tibetan Cafe, and next to it a great pastry shop. Zan Om Cafe Bijurah is also very popular. The restaurant specializes in snacks, m.in. sin problem.

Away from the center, there is the Freedom Cafe serving tasty dishes. There are no fixed prices for meals here, but after eating, guests leave any amount in the can placed at the door. The Snack restaurant operates on the same principle & Bite.

As long as Nullah

The best ski slopes in Himacal Pradesh can be found in Solang Nullahu, in the Solang Valley, 14 km northwest of Manali. Downhill runs are marked in black, red and blue. So far, the only amenity is the 300-meter-long ski lift belonging to Mountaineering & Allied Sports Institute (Offices of High Mountain Tourism and Related Sports). Ski equipment rental costs from 120 do 150 INR for the day. The best conditions here are in February; January is extremely cold.

The small Friendship Hotel offers accommodation in double rooms with a private bathroom and a wood stove 150 INR. You can get buckets with hot water, firewood and order meals here; for dinners you pay approx. 25 INR. Similar prices apply at Raja Paying Guest House.

Dźagatsukh (Jagatsukh)

Dźagatsukh, 12 km north of Nagaru i 6 km south of Manali, initially it served as the capital of Kulu, later this role fell to Nagar. There are beautiful old temples in the town. The Sikhara dedicated to Shiva deserves special attention. The temple of the goddess Sarvala is also of great historical value, located in the nearby village of Śuru (Shooru).

The lovely village of Kothi is situated 12 km from Manali, on the road to Kejlong.

Kothi's main attraction is its beautiful scenery; there is an exceptionally narrow and deep gorge of the Beas River. While in Kothi, many tourists go to the Rahla waterfalls, 16 km away.

Accommodations Travelers visiting the Rohtang Pass mostly stop at Rest House. The building is surrounded by mountains and has two old tea stalls nearby. Only double rooms with private bathrooms are available for rent, two large beds, carpets and a balcony. The advantage of the hotel is peace and tasty food.
